Brooks Landon Glover
Welcome our littlest member!!!
Brooks Landon Glover arrived on July 3 at 2:11pm. 8 lbs 15 oz, he had his older brother Jackson slightly beat but still nowhere near 11 pound bigger bro Shane. Everything went fairly smoothly and Mom and baby recovered in the hospital until Friday afternoon. With many helpers back at home to hold down the fort, things have been going very well. Shane and Jackson were excited to see the new baby they had been hearing so much about, and have even been testing some of the baby equipment to make sure it is sound. The baby tub seems to be a favorite.
Brooks has been an angel thus far. We are hopeful he will be a good sleeper. Everyone keep your fingers crossed!!!

Broooks is here
With Shaney at school
And Jackson at camp
We trucked downtown
To meet our new scamp
9 months and counting
Picking names from the books
she'd finally decided
He must be a Brooks
Mom laid claim to naming
For suffering three boys
But the middle name challenged
She needed dad's voice
Dad culled and winnowed
Striking names picked at random
Sounding ideas with Jackson
And landing on Landon
So back to the room
He arrived with a squall
And peed on the doctor
The nurses, the wall!
They laughed and he cried
And Dad cut the cord
More gory than expected
He almost was floored
Now in recovery
Dad felt like a hero
His boy had a smirk
And a scowl like DeNiro
we've a few days to rest
And recover our looks
And then home to our melee
With Shane, Jackson, and Brooks
And Jackson at camp
We trucked downtown
To meet our new scamp
9 months and counting
Picking names from the books
she'd finally decided
He must be a Brooks

And then home to our melee
With Shane, Jackson, and Brooks

15 hours to go.....
Summer is in full swing!! The boys have been enjoying hot afternoons in their new larger pool, which the whole family can fit in, at the moment. It was a big week for Shane as he graduated pre-school. The circumstances were not ideal for anyone, including a very pregnant mom. It was held outside during what should be his class nap time, without lunch, and did I mention is was 99 degrees that day. Shane surely did not appreciate this but it was a special day nonetheless. He has come a long way since he first started 2 years ago.
Tomorrow is the big day - somewhere around noon. We have been talking about the new baby a lot and Jackson seems to be very mommy attached so I think he knows something fishy is going on. I'm sure the slew of helpers we have during the week will take care of things while I am holed up for 4 days. But we are very excited to meet the newest member. Wish us luck and check back soon!!!

Countdown continues...
One week to go and praying this guy does not decide to come early. We are still not ready. Need to move some furniture, pick a middle name, get Shane on a better wake-up schedule than 3am. There will always be some excuse I suppose.
Anyways, Jackson enjoyed his first day of camp yesterday and his first big adventure to Playland last week. It was an evening work function for Jason so Shane was too pooped to make it but Jackson was a trooper. I probably should not have been the one to take him on the first ride which was some sort of caterpillar that bounced up and down in a circle for what seemed like an eternity. But Jason was off getting me some pizza since round 1 of dinner was not enough. Oh and since every possible thing from games, to rides to food was free -I used my 9 month pregnant state to my advantage and did not pass up the good stuff. Candy apples, cotton candy, Carvel, funnel cake. You name it - I tried it all...guilt-free. And Jackson was a happy camper too. All we heard all night was "more" "more" "more".
Riding the "big truck" with Daddy
Who is Captain America?
First day of camp
Waiting above the tracks for Daddy's train
The rain doesn't stop this guy
Shane being silly
