Beach Week 2010.

Our 2 week beach trip this year was spent with the McMahon family for one week, although we did make our usual pit-stop in Richmond going and coming and were able to spend just a couple of days at the beach with the Glover's. Now that Shane is a bit more mobile he was slightly interested in the ocean if we took him right up to the waves, but for the most part just preferred eating sand. The weather cooperated wonderfully and although hot, it maybe rained just once. All the cousins are still young enough that vacation is more chaos than vacation, but they seem to have the time of their lives. Hopefully one day the adults will get to relax and feel normal again!

Getting ready!

With less than 3 months to go, we are starting to think about life with another Glover. Shane does not know what is about to hit him. Aside from a new brother, he will begin a full day of school on September 1 in White Plains. That means no more 3 hours of nap. We were told not to try and wean him of this habit, let the school take care of it. Too bad for them! He will be receiving all of his therapy services there and is bound to be exhausted given all the changes coming his way. I guess we all will! We finally hired some help for me (Mom). Emily arrives every morning at 6:15 until Shane takes his first nap at 9:30. This allows me to go back to bed, as we still have the worlds earliest riser. I take over when he wakes and has lunch, and take him around the corner for his afternoon school session, and then Emily returns at 3:15 until Jason gets home. He was getting just too heavy for me to handle. Here is some of what has been going on these last several weeks.

Catching up.

Having trouble keeping this blog going it seems. Did not even get the pics up from late March when the Idaho crew came to visit for almost 2 weeks and we lost power one hour after they arrived. Some crazy windstorm blew through here and we were out for 6 days. We tried to brave it for 2 nights at the house. Had tons of layers and blankets, lanterns, candles, and lots of improvising for dealing with 4 kids under the age of 5 in the dark. But gave up once the temp in the house was dipping below 60. Spent time in a hotel and Nana's house once her power returned. As always, the visit was an adventure for Erin who was crazy enough to travel solo with her 3 kids. We did get back home in time to celebrate Delaney's 1st birthday.

Happy Easter!! Looks like the bunny came to visit. This was my very first Easter basket. I had fun digging through them for all of one minute but more importantly, Mom and Dad enjoyed it. I don't know, this bunny is pretty stingy with the candy!!!
