New Year's Eve

Every year we host a dinner party for New Years Eve - 5 couples, 8 courses, but the catch is, everyone has to cook a different course. Of someone ELSE's choosing. It's a blast. This year, there were 7 new participants, 2 couples, 3 babies (including Shane). It was like we were running a day care! Anyway,the babies cooperated and we had a blast.

The MENU:

Soup: (Susan Lago's choice) Bacon, Bleu Cheese and Courgette Soup made by Julie Francis
Salad: (Stephanie Lee's choice) Szechuan Noodle Salad made by Steph herself
Appetizer: (Julie Francis' choice) Stuffed Mushrooms presented by Julie Solomon
Entree: (Michelle's choice) Scallops with a Panko crust and Herbed Coconut Chutney made by Jason
Side 1: (Dan Lago's choice) Wild Mushroom and Pumpkin Risotto presented by Michelle
Side 2: (Susan Lago's choice) Creamed Onions with Crispy Bacon made by Will Greco
Dessert: (Jon Francis' choice) Bourbon Apple Pear Sauce with homemade Vanilla ice cream presented by Dan Lago
Cocktail: (Jon Francis' choice) Dark & Stormy mixed by Ben Solomon

The dark and stormies flowed graciously, and dinner went off without a hitch. Some pictures:
