It is Shane's last week of his very first school experience at the Alcott school.
GG is up for her 2 weeks of duty as we prepare for baby, and she and Nana joined in the popsicle party at school and got a glimpse of what goes on. 93 degrees and humid on the playground proved to be too much for the kids, or perhaps the adults, as they informed us Shane has been used all summer as the thermostat for when it is time to go in. Those red cheeks don't lie!! We quickly moved to the gym for a few minutes before enjoying our cold popsicles.
It has been quite nice having a little bit of freedom each day and Shane has sure loved all of his friends, teachers, and therapists. They are all sad to see him go. But did this prepare him for the 6 hour day he is about to endure at the new school? Time will tell.
